Understanding children’s behavior

Behavior Guidance

Positive and consistent techniques should be used to encourage children whose play actions are both appropriate and inappropriate.

img

Preferred Practices

  • Applause and make a special moment for desired behaviour with words of praise and gestures, while redirecting any unwanted conduct.

  • To encourage positive behaviour constructive reinforcement is provided, while any inappropriate actions are swiftly redirected.

  • Vital skills and discipline is important to teach from a young age to promote strong foundation for lifelong success. Preferred behaviours practice overtime allows young minds to gain essential self control which leads to their academic pursuits and personal wellbeing.

  • We help children make progress with confidence by providing age-appropriate options and empowering young ones to realize those choices.

img

Prohibited Practices

  • Corporal punishments have been shown to be ineffective, and even damaging for children. Positive reinforcement has proven more effective in fostering good behaviour as it encourages repeat of positive actions instead.

  • Nurturing environment is necessary in order to foster a healthy development. Children can be adversely affected by negative measures that strip away their self-respect, such as verbal abuse and other harsh forms of humiliation.

  • Not providing basic need for children (food, cloths, shelter, safe environment, etc)

  • Having no access to child care centre exits for the purpose of confining.
